Explaining To Matthew

I made this Drawing during a conversation about another image. It is a discussion illustration of ideas of duality, for example the cloud in the Sky and its’ shadow in the Earth.

I had made a portrait of my father some time earlier using his side view to inform the shape of the cloud and the corresponding edge of the shadow, and to have a visual discussion about our family connection, as farmers, with the earth.

This image here came about explaining that ongoing theme to a friend who visited the Kalamunda Studio in 1994
